I’m David Dresen, Global Brand Creative Director in Ford’s Design Studio.
At Ford, most of my work is focused on building the future, so I cannot share any of that work. I can share that I have helped hire and build a multi-disciplinary brand team focused on enhancing Ford's brands, while reducing complexity and cost through brand on vehicle execution and production strategies. In collaboration with our global marketing team, I have also helped define a global brand-led and customer-focused design system approach, informing the design on all future vehicles across 20+ product lines and 4 regions. I also helped build and launch a new business/brand within 1 year of hire, a monumental task at Ford Motor Company.







GLOBAL CREATIVE DIRECTOR
From 2016-2020, I led all creative direction for product and digital design for HP Print.
I directed and managed a team of cross-discipline designers, defining and implementing innovative design strategies and brand solutions across HP Print. One of my main responsibilities was to define and build a new HP Pan-Print Visual Brand Language and Identity System that enabled a true holistic brand experience across all digital and physical touch points (web, product ID, learning products, software, and packaging). One of the key experiential components of our new printers was to rely more heavily on visual communication and sound. I worked directly with sound and visual communications SME’s to define and implement the lighting and sound strategy for our products that did not have a user interface.

From 2010-2015, I led all Creative for product and digital design for HP Print.
I hired, developed, and directed a team of cross-discipline designers, managing all creative, while defining and producing user-centered design solutions across digital and physical ecosystems. The below work is a sampling of both strategic exploration and in-market solutions.

SENIOR DESIGNER, DESIGN DIRECTOR
From 2005-2010, I worked as a Senior Designer, and then Design Director at Logoworks. One of the first successful online design companies, LogoWorks was eventually acquired by Hewlett Packard.
This job was one of the most exhausting and rewarding experiences I have had. Working side by side with a group of 25+ designers, we produced UI and print design solutions across every business landscape from startups to corporations across the globe. Some of our top clients included Nestle, Hewlett Packard, Costco, American Express, Kinkos, Intuit and the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.

CO-FOUNDER, CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Glacier Marketing is an independent design and marketing studio I co-founded with my brother in 2009.
My brother and I started Glacier Marketing as an opportunity to work together in a field we both love. Although most of our clients are located in the North West, we have done work across the U.S. for clients of all sizes. We focus on providing user-centric design and marketing solutions at a great price that are both competitive and successful.

Who is David Dresen?
I am a man of belief, family and passion. I am competitive in all aspects of my life, which has brought me to where I am today. I don't like to settle when better is achievable. I live for the details, and believe the last 10% is whole heartedly the most important. I still consider myself to be an Artist, even though I have been in brand and digital design for decades. I love to draw and paint, however there is never enough time to actually do it.
I simply love design, and in all humility, I am great at it. I love its ability to shape the decisions of users, to delight them, inform them, and to assist them. I look forward to hearing from you and starting our next great project together.
